Shari Simpson

Shari Simpson is a multi-faceted writer with credits in screenwriting, content creation (including online content creation), YA fiction writing and editing. She co-wrote the off-Broadway hit “Maybe Baby, It’s You”, which had two successful off-Broadway runs and a Hollywood run starring Tori Spelling. She also wrote the Disney Channel Original Movie “The Swap” (2016), both with her longtime writing partner, Charlie Shahnaian. Shari and Charlie also worked together to write the book “Adventures in Love” which, as a musical, was produced by Kevin McCollum (the original producer of “Rent”) for Ordway Theater. Additionally, they wrote the screenplay “Welcome to Jaimeville”. Shari’s children’s play “The Story Tree Gang” has been performed in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago and Jamaica. She is also known for “Sweet Sweet Summertime”, “Forever Lost & Found”, “The Passion of Danny Burke” and “The Louise Log”.

Shari lives within one of the areas that endured some of the most difficult circumstances during to the COVID pandemic. Although, she is a veteran at working from home or remotely, now more than ever, Shari would require collaborations that were sensitive towards her obvious remote status. This meant implementing video conferencing and leveraging other virtual technology efforts for any ongoing communication and related efforts. Shari is also no stranger to collaborations with other VIP’s and would also want to continue to advance production of content on platforms that would help to further her position as a subject matter expert on various topics.
